Webswing version 22.1 release

For years now our customers and community can be sure there is a new version of Webswing coming out every spring. 2022 was no different and after spending the winter with diligent development we released new Webswing 22.1. This version is very hugely important for many of our customers. Long Term Support (LTS) version with full support of java 17. Although having our legacy roots in our mind, we still kept and maintained the support for Java 8 version as we know many of users are still using this technology.

Focus on Migration

We see huge potential in Migration of legacy applications with Webswing - particularly with our Migration Framework. For that matter, throughout the year we launched campaign to support the product and besides the usual communication through our stable marketing channels we were able to produce the simple workshop which describes the various options for migrating the legacy desktop application into the new native web technologies.

10th anniversary of Webswing source code

Early in the summer, we had a great reason for celebration in our team. It’s been 10 years since the very first source code lines were written down by our founder Viktor Meszaros. It’s been an outstanding story across the decade how the ‘hobby project’ became the industry leading technology in running legacy desktop applications in the web browsers.

Strong Webswing community

To underline the significance of the year 2022, we’ve managed to reach more than 2022+ community members on our LinkedIn Page. We are very proud of the feat as we don’t use that channel only for promotion of our product, but we also share tech & product news for our followers. The overall number has grown since and we are happy for everyone who follows our work.

Webswing 22.2 version

In the fall we released yet another version of our Software. Stable, refined and besides the huge focus on migration capabilities our team has been able to incorporate many features that help our customers to use Webswing even faster and easier.

New TesTool - New Features & Design

Couple years ago we started to unify every single software that is built around the Webswing to have its unified and recognisable design. After we were finished with Website, Documentation, Admin Console, Demo, Prototyping tools and Client portal, we finally reworked the TestTool completely. And it’s not only about the design. TestTool has got some new features as well and everybody using Webswing version 22.2 can benefit from them.

Successful conference in Munich W-JAX

As the year 2022 was coming to the end we decided to make an offline presence for our company. As we wanted to embrace new contacts as well as meet with many of our existing customers, partners and friends, we decided to travel to Munich for the W-JAX 2022 conference. It was a huge success and we will surely be traveling to more events like this next year.

Overall it has been yet another incredible year for Webswing, mainly because of the fantastic relationships with our valued clients and partners. Many thanks are also sent to all members of our team who are effortlessly working together to make Webswing as awesome and usable as it currently is.

We will continue to build unique software and combine it with outstanding services in order to keep our customers happy in upcoming years. We cannot wait for the next challenges in 2023.
