Below is an explanation of the different licensing options Webswing offers for individuals, organizations, enterprises and non-profit sector.
AGPL License
Since Webswing’s version 21.1 released in April 2021, using Webswing under the conditions of Affero General Public License (“AGPL”) is not allowed and source code is not publicly available. Using Webswing Technology under the AGPL is possible up to the Webswing Technology’s version 20.2 only.
Webswing Commercial License
Webswing commercial license is required for any commercial organization that uses Webswing for non-evaluation purposes, for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), VARs (Value Added Resellers) and others who combine and distribute commercially licensed software with Webswing.
During the years we have come to better understand the problems firms and organizations face. Therefore we have decided to include more options when it comes to commercial licensing, to meet the needs of companies of all sizes and types of business. We came up with simple overview table that clarifies it all.
While a Starter Commercial License is only recommended for sole developers, Standard License is the core every enterprise should start with to ensure the best security and performance. The Webswing Professional License is recommended for those who want to take advantage of benefits such as migration of their application from desktop to web and basically, use Webswing without limitations, with a full support and development team.
Every type of license goes with different package of SLA and additional support services from our company.
Academy & Non-Profit License
We are aware some universities, non-profit or charitable organization use Webswing for their projects which makes us really happy. We always like to see how Webswing helps to turn amazing ideas into innovative solutions or serves a good purpose.
Special licensing model created for charitable, non-profit organizations and educational institutions includes a free or significantly discounted license to use our software fully, with all the features and security modules included.
Organizations eligible with this license model must either operate on a not-for-profit basis or use Webswing for advancing education, with a mission to benefit their community or better the world.
